  • The Consultant Master Trainer will be responsible for organizing and conducting teacher training on the SOAR programmes, in close conjunction with the Master Trainer. The incumbent will assist with providing training for teachers who will be facilitating SOAR throughout the schools. The Consultant Master Trainer will be part of the team who will be rolling out the SOAR Programme’s training and assessment elements in schools.

  • Part of the Consultant’s role also involves monitoring and evaluating the teacher facilitation and student responses to the SOAR programme as new schools take it on. The Consultant will also train colleagues internally on the SOAR Programme, as well as sometimes provide demo presentations illustrating the pedagogy and benefits of the programme to potential schools and parents.
  • The Consultant will be responsible for the running of assessments at schools, and writing and delivering individual reports for students as needed. Relevant, assessment and product specific training would be provided to the chosen candidate. Travel to our key regions may be required.
  • The Consultant Master Trainer role will also entail some project management elements, relating to the roll-out, implementation and coordination of SOAR programmes across various schools, regions, etc.
  • The Consultant will assist with generating relevant reports and presenting analysis to the school management. Data management will form an important part of the role.
  • The Consultant Master Trainer will also assist to support the Sales Team for his/her region in which he/she would have to meet relevant stakeholders at potential schools and make sales presentations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, delivery and continuous improvement of SOAR and internal training programs
  • Work with the Master Trainer to liaise extremely closely with schools and educational institutes adopting SOAR to organize, coordinate and implement a training plan, including conducting teacher training and assessment
  • Assist with business development with schools’ management team and make sales presentations to the faculty members and Parents will fall under this responsibility.
  • Assist to design and implement a mentoring and feedback plan for teachers who will participate in the SOAR project.
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment for teachers
  • Deliver, project and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual classroom dynamics
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact of training programs
  • Facilitate training activities such as case studies, training games and simulations, and use role-play for skills development, also providing constructive feedback
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of the training program – actively generate and gather feedback
  • Participate in review and interpretation of data analysis for project learning and improvement and communicates customer feedback back to the Sales Team and Master Trainer-SOAR
  • Participate in records maintenance activities.
  • Provide accurate reports on activities and interactions.
  • Work closely and coordinate activities with other project staff and schools
  • Create high quality deliverables within project budget and policy deadlines
  • Mark teacher, student and parent assessment.
  • Support all Master Trainer’s activities.
  • Team-player- able to perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
  • 4 to 5 years relevant teaching / training / train the trainer experience preferably in the education sector
  • Experience as a coach and/or mentor will be preferred
  • ATD accreditation will be an advantage, as will any other coaching or mentoring certificates
  • Degree in child psychology or educational psychology
Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver outstanding training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and training methodologies
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills required
  • Proven training experience and proficient in training methodologies, curriculum development and soft skills (communication skills, critical thinking, time management, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide teachers
  • Experience in developing comprehensive training and mentoring plans
  • Ability to perform challenging and complex work
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style
  • Strong professional acumen and judgement
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • High levels of developed soft skills (good communication, critical thinking etc.) and an active interest in education and soft skills

  • Proficiency in English required

  • Able and willing to travel to various regions

  • The main purpose is to provide soft skills training to under graduates in the Tertiary Institutions, graduates and corporate clients from the educational and corporate industry in Nigeria, particularly in the areas of soft skills, management skills, hard skills as well as other human relation skills.
  • To contribute effectively to the successful learning experience of individuals through high quality teaching and a supportive approach that results in high levels of learner achievement based on client’s needs and objectives.
  • Our ideal candidate should have experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning. Experience with different projects, like management training and soft-skills development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates day-to-day classes to assist clients in gaining knowledge and soft-skills needed to secure employment
  • Must have a committed, professional attitude to training, work in general & managing the client
  • Should be able to follow the prescribed curriculum designed to develop the soft skills of students with the support of the Sales Manager
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment for students and corporate clients as the case may be
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact of training programs
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of the training program - actively generate and gather feedback
  • Participate in review and interpretation of data analysis for project learning and improvement, and communicates customer feedback back to the Sales Manager
  • Demonstrates understanding of Employability skills, teaching materials, and procedures with understanding of various teaching methods
  • Deliver designed soft skill training, using relevant training materials such as presentations, workbooks, and other assessment tools.
  • Continue to update and revise course content and teaching methodology in order to remain current and relevant
  • Ability to customize training content and format to fit client’s objectives
  • Use a facilitative training method to engage participants and limit lecture of content
Candidate Requirements Qualifications / knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Education or in any related field to the specified role.
  • Candidates should be able to work independently, be self-directing, have good verbal and written skills, and be available for flexible training hours.
  • Certifications as a Soft skills trainer would be an added advantage.
  • Must have worked in the corporate sector for a minimum of 4 years.
  • Must have a psychological or counselling background.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven experience as a Skilled Trainer.
  • Experience in delivering either communication, soft skills, intercultural or interpersonal skills training.
