Pro-Health International is recruiting to fill the following position:

Job Title: Strategic Information Officers
Location:
Plateau, Nassarawa, Abuja
Responsibilities

  • The incumbent shall work with facility staff to coordinate the monitoring and evaluation for PHI’s IPSAN Project, supervise and coordinate the collection of accurate monitoring reports from the health facilities (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annually) on all required indicators and make entry of same into the DHIS while supporting the building of data culture at health facilities to improve data demand and use.
  • He/ She shall assist the SI Specialist to manage and provide training for data analysis at the service delivery outlets and address gaps in program and services.
  • Participate in DQA and other data quality and validation activities and collaborates with the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team to provide data support to SDF CQI teams.
Requirements
  • A degree in Statistics or any degree in Public Health or Social Sciences is required with a minimum of 2 years relevant monitoring and evaluation experience.
  • He / she must possess high- level computer skills using MS Excel, MS Access and Epi-Info as well as basic data management/analysis skills.
  • A working knowledge of electronic medical records systems and deployment of database systems for patient monitoring an asset.
Job Title: Laboratory Specialist

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will provide overall program leadership in laboratory services and systems, be responsible for the smooth running of facility laboratory machines and systems, provide mentoring and training to facility laboratory staff on the related service delivery and implementation activities and provide overall technical support for quality laboratory services including quality checks for laboratory results.
Requirements
  • A first degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences and a post graduate qualification is required.
  • A current practicing license with Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria is mandatory; 3 - 5 years continuous relevant experience in automated HIV laboratory systems with demonstrable capacity to operate a CD4, hematology and chemistry machines.
Job Title: HIV Prevention Specialist

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will provide leadership to the project in building a network of effective gender-sensitive, targeted HIV prevention services in catchment communities around service delivery facilities, working with the Community and Clinical Specialists to establish community HIV prevention services.
  • He/she shall network and build synergies with state and local governments, CSOs, network of PLHIV as well as other HIV care programs to reinforce behavioral change.
Requirements
  • A postgraduate degree in health education and health promotion or related field with a minimum of 5 years proven experience in programming and management of HIV/AIDS/TB prevention programs at a senior level and demonstrable experience in developing health education materials
Job Title: Clinical Specialist

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent shall work under the direct supervision of the Senior Technical Advisor Clinical Services with support and guidance from the Clinical Advisors to deliver program related goals and activities at facility level. Particularly mentoring and training of health workers on ART, TB/HIV, PMTCT, Prevention and other clinical related activities as will be dictated by program direction.
  • He/she will also monitor program indicators at facility level and trouble shoot when necessary.
Requirements
  • A medical degree from a known university
  • A Master’s degree in public or other health related field will be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience working on HIV Care and treatment program
Job Title: Grant Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

  • The Grant Compliance Manager will have responsibilities for ensuring donor grant reporting and compliance regulations are met by all partners.
  • Grant Compliance - Serve as principal point of contact on compliance issues with partners; implement approved capacity building trainings at the sites; improve field/local partner staff capacity to comply with regulations.
  • Budgeting - Train local partners on budgeting; Provide senior level technical support to the local partners to finalize their annual budgets, conduct a review of budgets against project targets, budget notes and justification, make recommendations and follow-up implementation; Review draft partner budgets and provide technical advice to program managers.
  • Financial Support - Provide direct technical support in all aspects of finance to partners, monitor allocated partner agreements and budgets and ensure compliance with Compliance Manuals and donor guidelines, advice on GAAP and basic accounting records to be maintained by the partners.
  • Internal Control Assessments and Site Visits - Participate in Internal Control and Monitoring/pre-award assessments as required, review of adequacy of internal controls, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, compliance with local partner policies and procedures.
  • Financial accounting - Ensure that partners keep supporting documents for all financial transactions, keep ledgers for Fixed Assets, Purchase Requisitions, Cash Receipts and Disbursements, Maintain a project budget holder’s register that will show the entire fund advanced to each budget holders, the liquidation patterns and the balances at any particular time.
Requirements
  • B.Sc. Accounting or Finance , ICAN/ACCA Certification
  • Willingness to travel widely across partner locations
  • At least 5 years post NYSC grants management experience in an international NGO
  • Proficiency in the use of accounting softwares e.g. Quickbooks, Tally, Peachtree etc., and the use of MS suite
Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities
  • Administer the human resources policies, compensation, benefits, performance management systems and safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory concerns regarding employees;
  • Maintain records and reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals
  • Plan, organize, coordinate personnel training
  • Advise managers on benefits policies and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate staff work activities
  • Represent the organization at personnel-related fora as may be directed
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation and continuously foster positive attitude toward achievement of project objectives.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering employee matters and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Carry out general administrative functions, office management and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • BSc in Human Resources Management, Business Management or other relevant fields
  • Membership of relevant professional body(ies)
  • An M.Sc. degree in the humanities will be of added advantage.
  • 5-8 years post-NYSC working experience in a reputable organization
  • A people person and highly committed individual
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and public speaking skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals
  • Effective interpersonal, public relations and time management skills
  • Highly proficient in computer applications including Word processing and spreadsheets, especially MS suite
  • Willing to work irregular hours
