Job Title: Fleet Supervisor
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Assist the Operations Manager in the formulation and implementation of policy and over-seeing compliance for transport services.
- Develop and monitor strategies for the management of the Company’s fleet in line with health and safety policies.
- Monitor driver’s conduct and company’s vehicles by ensuring compliance to necessary procedures and rules through coordination of the daily movement of vehicles & daily/ weekly inspection of vehicles.
- Carry out random audit and inspection of all vehicles and personnel in the Operations department and provide accurate and documented reports concerning fleet.
- Supervising all workshop mechanics and guiding them by emphasizing use of established guidelines, various repair manuals and standard safety practices in performing the duties of the job.
- Planning, organizing, and directing the work of the department to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment through necessary inspection and reports.
- Managing the special equipment, trucks and all vehicles and regularly communicating with the drivers, other fleet supervisors and the operational head.
- Driving a safe and preventive maintenance culture in order to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment
- Ensuring efficiency of the use of the vehicle, fuel consumption and professional conduct of the driver.
- Supervising complicated mechanical maintenance and repair work on auto mobiles, trucks and other motorized equipment used in the field of transportation, hauling and maintenance purposes.
- Submitting regular reports on road calls break downs, accidents and performance vehicle usage, mileage and maintenance costs.
- Supervising Driver / Workshop coordination. Typical tasks include; keep inventory of parts supplied; requisition of parts and supplies needed; coordinates the flow of vehicles awaiting maintenance or repairs; inspection of vehicles.

Job Specification
- HND/ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Fleet Administration
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated individual.
- Must be able to communicate in good spoken English.
- Must be detail-oriented and well-organised.
- Average of 3 years’ experience in Transportation services or related field
- Experience and knowledge of Fleet Management Systems will be an added advantage
- Must be able to show confidentiality in company matters.
