  • The Corporate Communications Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing the Company as well as its subsidiaries’ communications strategy to drive engagement with internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • He / She will be accountable for building a strong identity, which supports all the company’s group’s initiatives.
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Deliver a clear, integrated communications strategy and plan for the organization in line with its goals and to ensure effective external & internal stakeholder engagement
Communications Material:
  • Develop internal and external communications in support of The company’s’s vision, mission and goals, including written or other materials for newsletters, press releases, fact sheets, op-ed pieces and articles for external communications, brochures, advertisement copy, content for The company’s’s websites and social/online media platforms, speeches, talking points, communication for Executives and Board Members, videos; maintain a range of publications to meet communications goals
  • Media Relations and Stakeholder Management
  • Develop and implement a proactive media & stakeholder engagement strategy; maintain and develop links with local and international media outlets to facilitate good communication and ensure fair and accurate coverage of The company’s and activities.
  • Prepare The company’s Executives & Board of Directors for interviews and public engagements.
  • Create and maintain stakeholder database.
  • Contribute to partnership engagement through creative and interactive strategies, which align, connect and inspire.
Brand Management:
  • Act as custodian for the The company’s brand. This includes developing visual and other identity guidelines and ensuring implementation and compliance across all channels.
  • Events Management
  • Plan / Execute The company’s internal and external events.
  • Vendor Management
  • Oversee the activities of any engaged PR agencies Communications Consultants.Prepare briefing materials/Requests for Proposal. Source high-quality service providers at reasonable pricing.
  • Issues Management
  • Develop and implement communication strategies.
  • Reporting, Accountability and Performance Management
  • Prepare reports on media coverage and industry trends/news.
  • Prepare periodic report of activities, program and events.
  • Develop metrics for measurement of performance/state of The company’s brand, implementing measurement and reporting.
Budgeting and Planning:
  • Contribute to planning and budgeting sessions; ensure the maintenance of historical records and procedural updates.
  • Overseeing the annual communications budget and ensuring its use is maximised.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • A good First Degree from a reputable University.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a variety of communications disciplines.
  • Advanced Degree in Public Relations, Communication Management is an advantage.
  • Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of communications strategy and plan development, and tactical delivery across a broad range of communications channels.
  • Proven experience of dealing with senior business leaders.
  • Experience in crisis management.
  • Experience in either public or customer-focused communication.
  • Experience in industry (ideally publicly listed) and international environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including ability to write/create specialized communication material such as video scripts).
  • Ability to work across wide range of communication platforms and channels (including social media and video).
Others:
  • Sound understanding of news media; well-developed news sense.
  • Honest, responsible and able to fulfil commitments; a person of integrity
  • Experience in managing external agencies and subcontractors.
  • Good analytical, negotiation and organizing skills.
  • Sound strategic and creative thinking ability; strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding the need for making data-driven decisions.
  • Able to make tough calls and decisions and manage all stakeholders in the process.
  • Proficient in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc. and ability to use audio and video.
  • Strong track record of success in developing, managing and delivering internal and external communications strategies in multi-cultural and complex organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work with people of diverse background and interests.
  • Strong project management/execution skills

  • Emotionally intelligent; knows when to be firm and when to be diplomatic.
