Job Title: Senior Business Development Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Responsible for the implementation of the day to day micro-finance operations, performance of loan portfolio, provision of guidance and capacity to build Business Development officers in the field to ensure growth in CHASE’s portfolio.
Customers of this Position:
- Micro-finance clients, local administration/Government agencies and internal staff.

- Outstanding loan book
- Deposits-cash collateral
- Client Retention
Controls and Process Adherence:
- Asset Quality
- Documentation & filling
- Process adherence
- Reconciliation
- Audit & compliance rating –internal or external
Customer Service:
- TAT-feedback on outcome esp negative
- Loan processing
- Complaints/compliments
People Process:
- Performance management
- Leave
- Training
- D & G
- Communication
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- At least 4 years experience in a micro-finance institution, bank or development institution, 3 of which should be in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Relevant professional qualifications
Competences required for this role:
- Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
- Wide exposure in the credit field
- Demonstrated report and proposal writing experience; and
- Awareness of and sensitivity to local culture and political settings as may affect the micro-finance market.
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Customer service orientation and commercial awareness; and
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Ms Office - Bank-one user skills
- Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with staff, local government, donors and other agencies
- Understanding of accounting and financial management issues affecting the micro finance sector
- Demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams to achieve goals through teamwork;
