The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations working to End Child Marriage in Nigeria seeks to recruit a qualified individual to join its team. As a Coalition that champions advocacy to end child marriage in Nigeria as well as design and implement socially oriented services and interventions to empower girls, we seek individuals with a high level of professionalism and integrity, who have a demonstrable passion and commitment to work with various groups including, vulnerable groups and underserved populations/communities.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Duration: One year, renewable
Reports to: Coalition Co-chairs and Secretariat Lead

Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
(S)he will:

  • Receive official visitors and enquiries (in-person/phone/email) and route as required
  • Proactively stay updated with daily operations and keep the secretariat updated on noteworthy developments relating to the Coalition and its work
  • Undertake general administrative duties including word processing, filing, copying, scanning, graphic development, management of activity calendars
  • Ensure proper functioning of office equipment and ensure availability and prudent use of relevant office supplies and consumables
  • Ensure smooth running of power supply sources and coordinate maintenance
  • Provide monthly expenditure report for office expenses
  • Upload approved content to official website and social media platforms as directed
  • Liaise with the Co-Chairs, the Secretariat, the Steering Committee members, Coalition members and partners as may be required in the course of work
  • Develop & maintain an inventory of official equipment, furniture, commodities etc
  • Coordinate logistic support for official events (meetings, workshops, seminars) as directed
  • Coordinate the membership records for the Coalition

Job Specification (Academic Qualifications; Professional Membership; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities, Computer Proficiency)

  • Bachelors Degree in the Social Sciences or HND/OND
  • Certification in computer use is an advantage but candidates will be required to demonstrate computer proficiency for Microsoft Word (good), Excel (basic) and Internet use (good)
  • Must have strong English literacy skills (reading and writing)
  • Must demonstrate good communication skills

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in a similar role in a civil society network
  • Immediate Post-NYSC candidates will be considered.
