Job Summary
- Accountable for the daily operation of the finance and accounting function, including treasury, budgeting, auditing, tax, accounting, capital purchasing, risk management, long-term forecasting and insurance activities.
- Guiding the Director of Finance in making sound strategic decisions in the long and short term. Oversee the organizations’ day-to-day financial operations and accounting activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations and accounting activities of Ajani & Kimberly and its clients.
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines including other periodic operational reports
- Analyze the financial data collected from Client's Sale Representatives in order to determine the state of the company's financial health.
- Ensure optimal corporate financial and accounting structure for Ajani & Kimberly and its clients
- Review all transactions for adequate financial returns and risk mitigation.
- Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over the activities of the finance department and other units within the organization or its clients.
- Develop an accounting and operational plan that incorporates goals and objectives that works towards the strategic direction of the organization and its clients.
- Manage and track funds, assets and investments, for Ajani & Kimberly and its clients and periodically issue reports on current and projected financial conditions
- Continuously improve the general business and financial conditions of Ajani & Kimberly and its clients and assess the impact of the company's policies and operations on its overall profitability
- Leadership and mentoring of cashiers, accountants and other related roles of staff of Ajani & Kimberly or its clients.
Education & Experience
- First Degree in Accounting or Finance or any related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years Accounting or Finance experience managing the financial accounts of a company
- Knowledge of projects management / costing - capital budgeting / cash flow / funds flow analysis
- Understanding of bid management, tendering and project costing principles, with analytical and interpretive abilities.
- Knowledge in project management.
- Proficient with statutory provision with respect to the tax management, pension & other relevant statutory requirement.
