Legend Golden Care Foundation (LGCF) a not-for-profit organisation concerned with the welfare of children, women, and prison inmates. Our mandate comprises pro-bono legal services to secure civil justice, ensure equal access to quality education for disadvantaged children, and contribute to the reduction of poverty, sexual and gender-based violence in Nigeria, leveraging on partnership with partners and stakeholders with shared objectives to achieve the same.

Job Title: Programs Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • We are seeking to hire a highly motivated and skilled Programs Officer- Social and Human Capacity Development to join our dynamic team. We work between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm WAT.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Programs Officer - Social and Human Capacity Development will lead the planning, execution, and assessment of programs aimed at enhancing social and human capacity within communities.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and community members to implement programs that will holistically uplift individuals and communities.

Responsibilities

  •  Design, coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate social and human capacity development programs in alignment with the organization's objectives
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify the specific challenges and opportunities within target communities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including local communities, government agencies,and other NGO’s to facilitate program delivery and impact.
  • Stay informed about relevant policies and regulations, provide analysis and recommendations for program adaptation.
  • Recognize potential areas for the development and expansion of programs.
  • Identify sources of funding, prepare proposals and submit funding applications
  • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing program progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law or a related field required

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in program coordination and management, preferably in an NGO.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating community-based Programs.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with community members, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of social and human capacity development issues, including education, economic empowerment, livelihood and community engagement.

Skills:

  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft office suites
  • Ability to multitask and to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
