Job Title: GBV Case Worker
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Summary
- The Case Worker will be responsible for case management and psychosocial support of vulnerable women, including survivors of violence, in one of the project sites in Maiduguri
Major Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one-on-one and ongoing case management services, including safety planning
- Provide direct, one-on-one emotional support to survivors throughout case management process including final case evaluation and closure
- Provide referrals for survivors to other services including child protection and specialized mental health services, accompany of survivors where appropriate and conduct follow- up to ensure appropriate services have been provided to the survivor.
- Identify gaps in referral services and report these gaps to the GBV Manager for action.
- Liaise with community volunteers for purposes of survivor follow-up as part of case management to individual survivors.
- Ensure survivor-centered services, including adherence to guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, safety and security and non-discrimination
- Complete and maintain case management records to maximize confidentiality and safety
- Participate in case review meetings and referral coordination meetings if needed
- Submit case management reports on a weekly and monthly basis
- Conduct an analysis of trends of GBV incidences and related information on a quarterly basis and present report to the GBV manager for advocacy and program future program

Job Title: Economic and Social Empowerment (EASE) Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Summary
- The Economic and Social Empowerment (EASE) Officer is based in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) and is responsible for supporting the implementation of the EA$E program in the field locations.
- This includes supervising Community Volunteers(CV), conducting regular VSLA Training monitoring field activities, collecting data and providing mentoring and coaching support to CVs and EASE groups.
- The Economic Empowerment Officer is also responsible for conducting the Group Discussion Series (GDS) and monitoring the implementation of the CEFE business skills training.
- It is expected that the EASE Officer will play an active role in building community capacity in the effective running of EASE groups. This position reports directly to the GBV Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the economic empowerment officer include, but are not limited to. the following:
Program Development And Implementation:
- Ensure all EA$E activities (VSLA, DGS and business skills) are implemented on time and with high quality.
- Actively participate in all EA$E Training of Trainers sessions and train EA$E Community Outreach Volunteers.
- Provide technical support and supervision to EA$E Community Volunteers
- Organize and participate in monthly meetings with EA$E community volunteers
- Conduct frequent field visits to monitor and provide capacity building support to EA$E Community Volunteers
- Facilitate the Discussion Group Series (DGS) with EA$E members and spouses
- Monitor implementation of business skills training and report findings to GBV Manager.
- Collect monitoring data for the VSLA and DGS components of the EA$E program as per the monitoring system in place.

Job Title: Women Center Facilitator
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Summary
Essential Job Duties/Scope Of Work: (Essential functions, quality/quantity expected list of marginal duties and number of national/and or expat staff supervised)
- In coordination with beneficiaries, identify relevant skills building and recreational activities to be conducted at the women friendly spaces and draw up a schedule for activity implementation
- In coordination with volunteers / partners a weekly schedule for activities in the women center.
- Identify and make a requisition for all materials required to conduct Women Friendly Space activities
- Organize feedback sessions each quarter with beneficiaries of WFS activities to identify strengths and weaknesses of the space and identify solutions for sharing with GBV manager for improvement.
- Coordinate with the case worker to ensure survivors who have been referred to the women center receive timely and quality services.
- In coordination with the GBV Manager, identify barriers to GBV and develop subsequent messages to overcome the barriers
- In coordination with women, leaders IOM/SEMA/NEMA organize and oversee the implementation on calendar day celebrations such as 16 days of activism, international women’s day, day of the African child, international day of the girl child etc.
- Conduct training and coaching sessions for volunteers / partners to deliver appropriate GBV messages to community members.
- Supervise community volunteers / partners during field work to ensure correct GBV messages are disseminated to the community.

Job Title: GBV Manager
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Summary
The GBV Manager is responsible for promoting the understanding of gender and GBV issues among Nigerian government officials, in particular within the judicial branch, Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Women Affairs as well as managing a GBV response and prevention program at the field level.
Programmatic:
- Work the GBV Coordinator to oversee project activities and provide advice, support and assistance in the development of training materials, BCC materials and methodologies, etc., as necessary in order to achieve project goals.
- Prepare and update detailed program workplans that support and achieve the overall program goal and objectives within the desired timeline
- Provide direction and monitor staff in their implementation of the workplan and quality of technical activities, share relevant information and direction to improve quality and achieve time-bound goals
- Plan timely for procurement of resources to ensure smooth and timely implementation of activities
- Actively participate in the development of new programming ideas and proposals.
- Work with the GBV Coordinator to monitor monthly expenditures and track budgets; approve expenditures to designated level.

- In collaboration with the GBV Coordinator, coordinate with IMC GBV staff in all operational areas the participatory design and implementation of national awareness raising campaigns that targets gender-based violence, in partnership with other actors (GoN Ministries, National and International organizations, the UN, etc).

- Collaborate and coordinate with other IMC programs (Nutrition, WASH, and Health) and key stakeholders at field level to enhance multi-agency and multisectoral cooperation and coordination, especially among those agencies who provide referral services.
Human Resource & Staff Development:
- Provide ongoing supervision, leadership and technical support and guidance to all GBV program staff
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
- Provide regular performance feedback to staff and where necessary work with Human Resources to document staff performance issues and address these in accordance with the National Staff Employment Policies.
Grant Monitoring & Reporting:

Job Summary
- The GBV Prevention Officer will be responsible for the overall implementation of the GBV prevention/outreach activities implemented as part of the GBV program in Borno State. This includes, but is not limited to: mobilizing communities to develop and implement strategies to prevent GBV and secure a thriving environment for survivors of GBV; implementation of outreach/community awareness raising activities; implementation of evidence-based GBV prevention approaches (EMAP, SASA!, etc.); and, the direct supervision of community outreach volunteers.
- The GBV Prevention Officer will conduct thorough assessments to ensure that sensitization sessions meet the needs of the community. The GBV Prevention Officer will promote community led initiatives that improve the security conditions of women, children and survivors of GBV.
- S/he will plan and implement training as necessary and will work with other GBV staff to assess and meet training needs. This position reports directly to the GBV Manager.
