Herwa Community Development Initiative (HERWA CDI) is one of the indigenous registered Nigerian National Non-Governmental Organisations that provides protection for children, peacebuilding and conflict resolution, women and youths empowerment, fight for the right of women and children; help them fulfil their potentials. Herwa partners with International Non-Governmental and Development Agencies to achieve its aims, objectives and Vision through advocacy and mobilization of communities. Herwa CDI intends to commence implementation of a project titled Youth Economic Empowerment for Resilience and Peace Building in the Context of North- East Nigeria (YEE4RP) in Partnership with Plan International. We seek to hire qualified, committed and experienced individuals to fill the vacant position below:   Job Title: Livelihoods/ VSLA Supervisor Location: Borno Job Duration: 22 months Job Description

  • Supervise and guide beneficiaries on their contribution to achieving the overall objectives of the project.
  • Provide support to capacity building needs of the Implementing Organization in all operation-related aspects with a focus on livelihoods relief and recovery related activities.
  • Support and facilitate appropriate and relevant training and capacity building of Organization’s staff and volunteers involved in supporting livelihoods activities
  • Specific supervision of the Finance/administration staff assigned to the operation
  • Work closely with the project coordinator and in close coordination with Implementing Partners to support all aspects of the livelihoods file for the Organization.
  • Good technical skills in report writing.
Qualification
  • First Degree or its equivalent.
    Job Title: Livelihoods/ VSLA Facilitator Location: Borno Job Duration: 22 months Job Description
  • To facilitate youth savings group in various LGAs
  • To access and monitor monthly contribution, by each group
  • Reporting of a progress report by various intervention i.e. Entrepreneurship, vocational training centres and apprenticeship I various LGAs.
  • Good technical skills in report writing.
  • Language Skills required Proficiency in Kanuri Language and /or Hausa except for Gwoza LGA applicants-will be an advantage.
Qualification
  • First Degree or its equivalent.
    Job Title: Livelihood Project Coordinator Location: Borno Job Duration: 22 months Job Description
  • Ensure the application of the strategic direction of operations and focusing on achievement of the planned objectives.
  • Maintain reporting and communication lines with the Line Manager’s Organization.
  • Maintain coordination and appropriate information sharing and communication lines with the partner.
  • Ensure coherence among livelihoods programmes being supported by Organization in partnership with other partners and stakeholders.
  • Support Implementing Organization to continue to develop its internal and external livelihoods policy and positioning, technical capacity, programming, and internal and external coordination.
  • Good technical skills in report writing.
  • Language Skills required Proficiency in Kanuri Language and /or Hausa except for Gwoza LGA applicants-will be an advantage.
Qualification
  • First Degree or its equivalent and requisite experience.
