  • The incumbent will be responsible for  effective planning, development and execution of the Company's sales activities and effecting all sales and retention strategies for continued growth and optimal profitability.
  • He/she will develop and maintain a strategic perspective - based on market place and constituent needs and responsive to opportunity in the business environment, in line with the company’s annual strategic business plan.
Key Responsibilities Amongst the incumbent's key responsibilities will be:
  • Establish sales strategy and oversee the Retail, Commercial & Industrial, Aviation Businesses and Retail Engineering sales functions
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for businesses and projecting expected sales volume and profit
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Develop and review operating budget for the sales division that meets business goals
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Innovate and offer new ideas and approaches for developing products, building relationships with prospective business partners and with other networks where appropriate
  • Coordinate sales activities across Nigeria and prepare consolidated performance reports for each sector to facilitate decision making
  • Review and analyse market surveys on competitor product performance
  • Establish and adjust selling prices to optimize profitablity by monitoring costs, competition and supply & demand
  • Ensure that controls and standards are imbedded in the organisation
  • Responsible for product positioning by close interactions with Imports, PPMC Product Procurement and S & D functions
  • Oversee maintenance and engineering of Retail Stations
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in leading the sales function, preferably in the petroleum industry
  • Knowledge of downstream petroleum operations, across various markets, including retail, commercial & industrial, and aviation.
  • Proven track record of driving sales performance and/or market share growth
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and leadership skillls.
Job Title: Managing Director Location: Nigeria Job Description
  • The incumbent will plan, direct and manage the performance of the company's operations, as dictated by the overall business strategy and growth objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, and MBA would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in CEO, Country MD, or similar strategic leadership role
  • Deep knowledge of downstream petroleum operations, across various markets, including retail, commercial & industrial, and aviation.
  • Proven track record in conceptualising and implementing best practices, driving business optimisation and growth.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skillls
  Key Responsibilities Amongst the incumbent’s key responsibilities will be:
  • Prepare yearly budget for Board approval and manage resources within those budget guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
  • Develop and deliver effective strategy for the business that is appropriate to need and responsive to opportunity, in line with the company’s annual strategic business plan
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, contractors, vendors and oversee all contract activities and project execution
  • Lead the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organisation maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability
  • Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the company
  • Ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance and appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with
  • Develop feedback mechanisms and ensure diligent documentation and tracking of stakeholders’ requests to ensure efficient and timely resolution
  • Coordinate maintenance of facilities and equipment, implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with HSE standards
  • Provide overall leadership for all staff to ensure that appropriate direction is established with respect to the job expectations and that performance feedback is provided to drive clarity and developmental opportunities
