Job Title: Project Analyst / Assistant to Project Director

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Project Analyst who will also serve as an Assistant to the Project Director.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing project data, coordinating project activities, and supporting the Project Director in day-to-day operations.
  • This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Project Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Project Coordination and Support:

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings, recording key takeaways, decisions, and action items.
  • Ensure project documentation is up to date, accurate, and accessible.

Assistance to Project Director:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Project Director in day-to-day activities.
  • Manage the Project Director's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the Project Director and project teams, ensuring efficient communication and information flow.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for the Project Director.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving project processes and recommend best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing project standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Track and follow up on tasks and deliverables to ensure project milestones are met.

Ad Hoc Support:

  • Handle other duties as assigned, supporting various project-related and administrative tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project analysis, coordination, or a related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification.
  • Experience with financial analysis or budgeting is a plus.
