Job Title: Sales Representative
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Sales Representative is responsible for following up and driving sales for the Director Business Development – Africa Region. (DBD-AR) The Sales Representative will need to know and will represent the entire range of company products and services communicated to clients established by the DBD-AR.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Follow up on client calls and requests for client information as deemed by the DBD-AR.
- Communicate client(s) request to DBD-AR on an as needed basis.
- With the assistance of the DBD-AR, coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources in order to meet client objectives and expectations.
- Establishes and maintains professional, productive relationships with clients verbally, written or thru onsite visits.
- Coordinates client visits.
- Give feedback to the marketing team on the success and failures of sales promotions.
- Establish, adhere and meet or beat sales and revenue targets as set by the DBD-AR.
- Meet assigned targets thru sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned client accounts.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel on assigned client accounts.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates client needs on an ongoing basis.
- Seek cross selling opportunities within the client organization.
- Maintain weekly and monthly reporting on sales KPI’s / Sales Reports within the Region.
- Proactively work with DBD-AR on other Sales opportunities both domestically and abroad.
- Ensures client compliance with client agreements.
- Proactively recruits new qualifying clients.
Other Duties (Secondary):
- Assist in the completion and presentation of client contracts and Request for Proposals / Request for Inquiry.
- Work closely with DBD-AR to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Competencies:
- Professional sales training would be an advantage but not essential.
- Successful candidate will have 5 plus years in the IT industry.
- Previous experience setting up client accounts.
- Previous experience of driving sales ideally within the same industry, product and services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners.
- Strong personal network within the industry.
- Driven, highly motivated and passionate about sales.
Education and Experience
- A BS/BA from an accredited college/university. Professional years of experience may be a suitable replacement for education.
- Minimum 5 years of industry sales experience in a business-to-business IT consulting sales environment.
- Preferred Education and Experience: MBA.
- Professional certification(s).
