Job Title: Financial Reporting and Tax Accountant

Purpose
- He/She will be responsible for all tax and financial reporting duties in AgroMall.
Principal Responsibilities
Operational and Technical Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation of the Company's annual accounts
- Design and recommend measures by which the performance of company will be measured
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- Prepare tax payments Estimate and track tax returns Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
- Organize and update the company’s tax database and forecast tax predictions to senior managers
- Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals and prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns
- Share financial data with the accounting department Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
- Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Provide an efficient management cost report system
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Provide financial analyses for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Responsible for the filing of monthly, quarterly and annual returns to all regulatory bodies
- Research on technical accounting issues for compliance
- Produce daily, monthly management reporting and Performance review reports
- Produce daily Balance Sheet and P&L statements and monitor interest accruals and purchase ledge control
- Maintain controls and check on the regulatory database and the extracts from their core banking system
- Aid with the planning, testing and implementation of finance-related projects
- Assist with the preparation and content of Management Accounts/ Performance reports , financial reports for controllers and local management
- Assist with the preparation and completion of all HMRC related returns (Corporation tax, VAT, others)
- Keep up-to-date with accounting standards and communicating their impact
- Provide analysis and variance reports for review by line manager
- Participate in finance-related projects for the continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for the company
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

Education, Technical Skills, Competences and Working Relationship
Education and Experience:
- HND or B.Sc. in Accounts, Economics or Business Administration and relevant professional qualifications e.g. ICAN
- Minimum of 4 years cumulative relevant experience with at least four (3) years in Financial Reporting and taxation
Technical Skills:
- Taxation
- Strong understanding of FIRS and LIRS reporting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage large sets of data
- Proven track record of working in a Financial Service and working as a Financial Reporting officer
