Job Title: Nanny/ Housekeeper
Location: Nigeria/United Kingdom
Job Function: Nanny/Housekeeper to the Executive Director
Schedule: Full-time
General Purpose
- The Nanny/ Housekeeper would be required to work between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, organising and running the home of a Senior Executive, traveling between several countries with the family and organising all household affairs of the family.
- This is a Full Time International Role and candidates must be willing to travel often and at short notice. British passport will be a full advantage
- The Nanny/ Housekeeper will be responsible for all tasks relating to the care of the children and maintaining an excellent standard of housekeeping. The person will provide complete care for the children in the employer’s home by creating a safe and stimulating environment in which the children can thrive and develop.
Nanny/ Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the children’s activities at all times
- Dropping and collecting children at school
- Helping with school homework
- Plan extracurricular activities for the children
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Planning and supervising rest, bed and nap times
- Keeping parents informed of developmental progress
- Implementing daily routines
- Running errands and maintain record of expenditure.
- Perform household work and childcare work
- Engage in activities with the children; arranging play-dates and social schedules
- Plan and lead educational activities, including reading with the children
- Bathing and supervising baths for older children
- Preparation of meals
- Performing a variety of cleaning activities i.e. sweeping, mopping dusting, polishing
- Reporting food supplies and ordering when necessary
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- High school graduate
- Previous experience caring for children/housekeeping
- International travel
- Further training in child care and development such as a formal nanny training programs, early childhood classes and/or in-service training
- Physical ability to care for a young child
- Driving license and safe driving record
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- First Aid training and child infant CPR
- Prioritisation and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Knowledge of English language
- Age: 40 and Above
