Job Title: Health Promoter Supervisor

Location: Gwoza LGA, Borno State
Report to: Field Coordinator
Report to (functional): Field Co (Field Coordinator) for security or context information PMR (Project Medical Reference) for medical activities
Area: Medical & Paramedical
Supervises: CHWs
Working Hours: 48 per week
Contract Duration: Six (6)
Level: 7

Main Purpose

  • To ensure smooth implementation of community engagement strategy 2021 and support in its review and adaptation to contemporary context.
  • Implement and supervise campaigns to increase awareness of the targeted population to promote prevention and treatment of diseases in the project area focusing our activities inside the hospital, as well as active engagement of community in the project activities in close collaboration with the PC and PMR. Align community engagement support/activities with annual plan 2021

Accountabilities

  • Participate in the implementation of HP/IEC/CE strategy for 2021.
  • Identify indicators to monitor project activities, results, achievement
  • Supervise and report all HP/IEC activities planned for 2021 focusing on health education and other activities
  • Supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, trainings, evaluations, potential detection, development and communication of the staff under his/her responsibility
  • Planning and coordinate activities of the Health Promotion Team
  • Coordinate health education sessions to patients and care takers in the hospital and ensure adherence to IPC measures.
  • Lead Focus group discussion.

Requirements
Education:

  • Desirable BSc in Social Sciences or Education / Pedagogy / or Social Work

Experience:

  • Essential working experience of 2 years minimum in health promotion activities, CE, or training-education activities.

Languages:

  • English and Hausa languages essential

Knowledge:

  • Desirable basic computer skills

Salary
