Job Title: Quality Control Officer
Location: Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
Job Description
- In this position, you will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
- Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.
- Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- B.Sc degree in Food Science Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Chemistry or related field.
- 3-4 years proven experience as a Quality Control Officer
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Excellent leadership skill is a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.
- Must have manufacturing experience
- Must live or willing to relocate to Ijebu-Ode
- Should be ready to resume as soon as possible
Job Title: Warehouse Engineer (Engineering Store)
Location: Ijebu-Ode
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
- B.Sc/HND/OND in Mechanical Engineering, preferably.
- Other engineering graduates with proven work experience as a warehouse engineer can also apply.
Other Requirements:
- Proven warehouse experience with 1 to 3 years experience.
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system.
- Team player with organizational skills.
- Ability to lift or move heavy products.
- Ability to manage HSE issues.
- Must be resident in Ijebu-Ode or its environs
