We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Security Operations Center Manager
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Foster relationships with industry partners and customers to ensure monitoring compliance and smooth incident response
- Work closely with all team members and management.
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Work with Information Technology, Cyber Security and the SOC to
architect security appliance solutions and create an auditing and
logging strategy.
- Monitor, evaluate, and assist with the maintenance of assigned
security systems in accordance with industry best practices to safeguard
internal information systems and databases.
- Analyze email events including phishing and malware for relevant alerting levels.
- Ability to conduct deep packet inspection and articulate findings in order to fine-tune alerts.
- Participate in event and incident response as needed.
- Prepare event and incident documentation as needed
- Determine which alerts are relevant for immediate action, which are wait and watch and which are not relevant.
- Tune all security appliances for relevant alerting levels.
- Maintain an expert understanding of vulnerabilities, response,
and mitigation strategies used to support cyber security operations.etc
Qualifications
- Bachelors or college Degree of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant degree;
- Minimum of 4 years experience;
- Experience building and maintaining a high performance team of analysts
- Expertise with industry standard frameworks (ISO, NIST, PCI)
- Familiarity with ITIL and Agile framework / methodologies
- Experience maintaining metrics and SLAs
- Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management and change management best practices
- Relevant industry certifications such as GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CISA, CISM.
- Relevant technology vendor certifications (Cisco, CheckPoint, RSA, etc.)
