Job Title: Business Development Officer Location: Lagos
Job Summary
  • With a new and progressive vision for 2020, our client is looking at hiring Business Development Officer to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales.
Responsibilities As a Business Development Officer, your major responsibilities include: Business Growth:
  • Gaining new business through brokers by identifying and exploiting opportunities in the local market.
  • Working with underwriters to amend policies where necessary in order to meet client demand.
  • Increasing profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added value services wherever possible.
  • Consulting and promoting the most effective cover for a particular need, taking a number of factors into account.
  • Perform retention of existing business by offering alternative products
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of new and existing products by liaising with colleagues;
  • Ensuring credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors' products.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance against agreed sales targets, sometimes including monitoring the performance of other sales staff.
Relationship Management:
  • Build strong business relationships with our existing clients and intermediaries
  • Segmenting a rapport with brokers and administrators who have provident schemes by targeting the members with an annuity solution.
  • Provide superior services to clients exceeding client expectations.
  • Market the Company's products as alternative to transfer funds to Jubilee Insurance
  • Working closely with Scheme Administrators
Required Qualifications
  • ACII / Professional Qualification or University Degree
  • Travel will be required at times when business requires.
