Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring that all adjustments are properly documented and authorized.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports summarizing findings, variances, and corrective actions taken.
  • Communicate reconciliation results to relevant stakeholders, including management and finance teams.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and providing support for internal and external audits.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilize reconciliation software or tools to streamline and automate reconciliation processes.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members on reconciliation processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for reconciliation-related inquiries or issues.
  • Continuously evaluate reconciliation processes and procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining, automation, or enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation of reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to reconciliation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in accounting, financial analysis, or reconciliation roles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and reconciliation tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
