We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Tax Accountant

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
  • Application of VAT, WHT, and corporate tax knowledge to significantly analyse and determine the tax exposure of companies, the risk involved, and how to mitigate the risks using tax laws
  • Leading team in Attending to client tax audit exercises carried on by LIRS & FIRS and managing the audit whilst providing necessary documents requested by the tax audit teams when the need arises.
  • Leading team in Ensuring tax compliance concerning all taxes applicable e.g. VAT, WHT, PAYE, Capital Gain, ITF, CIT, etc.
  • Research and interprets the Tax laws
  • Follow up with development following the Finance Act, FIRS, and LIRS
  • Manage our Tax filing, uploading evidence on the drive and making sure hard copies are kept accordingly
  • Preparation of Tax Engagement
  • Interpreting client data and utilizing data for compliance and consulting purposes;
  • Attending to tax compliance by understanding the different tax rules.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international transfer pricing regulations and guideline
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive transfer pricing documentation for variety of industries
  • Preparation, computation, and filing of tax returns for clients engaged in insurance, financial & and non-financial institutions, Oil and gas, and other sector
  • Answering audit queries and demand/ assessment notices served on clients by FIRS & SIRS

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND with 1 - 3 years experience.
