Tax Auditor Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Tax Auditor includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Tax auditors interpret federal, state, and city tax laws and regulations, and apply them to auditing procedures.

  • Tax auditors make recommendations for tax compliance and tax payments to the clients and business owners they audit.
