Due to the expansion of our operations, as we introduce cutting edge chemical solutions to some of the challenges facing the Maritime, Haulage and the Oil & Gas Sectors; we require the services of qualified candidate to fill the position below:     Job Title: Technical Sales Representative - South East Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Technical Sales Supervisor/ Line manager to develop new businesses in the region and maintain existing customer relations.
  • Seek customers in company target markets -Chemical,  Maritime, Haulage, Oil & Gas etc, through research and direct contact with potential customers
  • Generate business opportunities through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies
  • Drive the sales process from inquiry, coordination through “Closing the Deal”
  • Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments
  • Ensure all communication with customers are in accordance with company standards and correct in content and format.
  • Send regular report of activities to line Manager
  • Carrying out the supporting market studies
  • Carried out other related assignments as directed.
Job Requirements
  • Must be Self -driven and have the ability to pro-actively maximize available opportunities.
  • Must have a good working knowledge and road network of his Region.
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be target driven and be able to achieve set targets.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and Technical reports.
  • Must be of high integrity with a track record of honesty
  • Ambitious and driven by results, should be ready to take on the challenge of growing and building up a business and a brand.
  • A minimum of HND/B.Sc in Science/Engineering related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in business development/marketing/sales preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of the Chemical, Manufacturing, Maritime, Haulage and Oil & Gas sector is an added advantage.
  • Candidate must reside in Port-Harcourt.
