Job Title: Lifting Equipment Engineer / Specialist I - Expat
Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Contracts
Main Functions
- Working within the Lifting and Hoisting department which is part of the Mechanical / Office Engineering Department responsible for the provision and inspection of Cranes and Lifting Equipment required supporting the workshop and field maintenance activities of the Gas to Liquids (GTL) Complex.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee the contractor responsible for the testing and inspection overhead beams and gantries
- Monitor Maintenance Contractor’s compliance with GTL Health Safety, Lifting and Rigging Procedure and Standards
- Use appropriate computer programs to monitor and arrange 3rd party inspections
- Monitor 3rd party lifting activities, witnessing the inspection performed by 3rd parties testing Overhead Cranes, Lifting Equipment and mobile platform equipment required to support the Area Maintenance Teams
Job Requirements
- 7-10 years’ experience within the Petrochemical or associated Industry is high desirable
- A minimum at least of 5 years’ experience within the Oil and gas industry preferred
- Preferable Degree & qualified in Mechanical discipline or standards based qualification
- Ability to perform structural calculations (Structural Engineer) would be a plus
- Able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages (Word and Excel competence is a must)
- Good communication skills in verbal and written English required
- Experienced in lifting equipment inspection
- Self-motivated Efficient and active, ability to manage contractors and push work forward
- Coordinate and Supervise the Inspectors on site, monitoring the progress of their work
- Team player with a good understanding of Health and Safety relating to lifting equipment.
Job Title: Documentation Specialist

Job Description
- Report progress on completion of deliverables, issue look ahead, and overdue reports
- Actively participate in project meetings and anticipate information management needs
- Prepare training materials and conduct project Information Management workshops with the Project Team (PT)
- Train clerical staff in handling of Contractor, Supplier and PT generated documentation in accordance with overall Information Management Plan and supporting project procedures
- Routinely conduct gap analysis of Contractor Document Control Procedures against Company requirements, document results, and make recommendations for upgrades
- Identify differences between Contractor's Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and Company EDMS (UDOCS), and share results with Project Information Management Lead and Common Skill Center
- Conduct quarterly assessments of Contractor's Document Control processes; document results, and raise concerns to Project Information Management Lead
- Validate Contractor provided deliverables and associated MDR/SMDR metadata to support data transfer to Company EDMS
- Support Company Documents For Operations (DFO) Coordinator and Project Information Management Lead as required
- Drives and promotes capital efficiency on stewarded projects
- Implement the Information Management Plan, and supporting document control procedures
- Comply with Company Records Management Program
- Comprehend and enforce the Information Management sections of Project Plans, Contract Coordination Procedures, and Purchase Orders
- Perform quality checks on Engineering and Supplier deliverables (Doc number, title, revision, date etc.) comply with project requirements. Report deficiencies to Information Management Lead
- Confirm existence and ensure suitability as well as accuracy of Master Document Registers (MDRs), Supplier Master Document Registers (SMDRs), and Document Distribution Matrixes (DDMs) and upgrade and maintain as required to meet project document management needs
- Ensure contractor and supplier documentation deliverables meet contract requirements by performing quality checks for compliance, and initiating corrective actions and report deficiencies to Information Management Lead
Job Requirements
- High proficiency in Document Control IT tools, databases, and administrative procedures
- University degree is desirable with preference for technical disciplines
- 5+ years industry working experience in areas of operations and/or project technical support, including working experience with document management, and IT systems and tools
- Strong written communication skills including proven ability to create procedures and presentations as well as routine interactions with Project teams
- Working knowledge of Information Management requirements across all project phases
- Working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Job Title: Lifting Equipment Operator – Expat
Location: Nigeria

Description
- Operates cranes and performs rigging activities to assist maintenance, production, construction, and safety crews as required.
- Loads and unloads material and equipment in accordance with Company’s specific lifting procedures, including movement of material to the proper locations.
- Carries out all lifting operations in accordance to safety rules and company regulations.
- Performs general inspection of cranes prior to operating, including checking condition of wire ropes, brake system, bolts, pins and similar items and reports any potential defect or malfunction to Logistic Supervisor.
- Responsible for safety of personnel and equipment during operations.
- Will receive direction and support.
Job Requirements
- Twelfth grade (12) secondary education or equivalent certificate plus 3 to 6 months of special training on crane operations.
- 2 years’ experience in operating cranes.
- Must be in possession of current crane operator certificate

Job Title: Job Instructors & Operators A & P Assurance Supervisor
Location: Nigeria

Job Nature: 28-28 Days Rotation
Description
- Develop, maintain and implement a comprehensive Operations Technical Competence and Development and Assurance curriculum across the entire hierarchy of Operations department based on the A&P scheme to ensure that operations staff can be progressed based on learnt and experience-based competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.
- Implement a refresher program based on the A&P scheme and on contemporary developments and lessons learnt in the plant and in industry, to refresh and maintain the professional competencies of senior operations personnel including shift operations leadership.
- Supervise competency based progression through the Assessment and Progression (A & P) Schemes 1&2 for Operators/Supervisors to ensure clear understanding of the daily routine/nonroutine operation of the plant to meet competence minimum staff manning the plant.
- Develop and train all plant Operators/Supervisors to become competent in Gas testing as Authorized Gas Safety Tester (AGST) and to be proficient in the process equipment preparation under the permit to work system.
- Review and assess performance of the A&P Schemes to fully encompass technical and operational changes from LFI, MOC against Competency Framework Profiles. Develop and coordinate computer based training and tool box presentations as part of the management of change process, learning from incident, and any other improvement initiatives on plant assets for all Operators to meet the situation awareness philosophy.
- Perform Competence Assurance testing on Panel and Field Supervisors / Operators on the use of monitoring and control tools to adequately respond to process upsets and emergencies in order to avoid production losses.
- Develop and implement specific training packages (ESP, Gas GAME) for all POx teams in line with Operation’s Reliability tools and proactive monitoring techniques in the field and panel to mitigate the Human error counts on the plant Operation.
- Coordinate the FIT/ Emergency response training for the shifts with HSEQ fire team to achieve Emergency response readiness for the assets. Support Panel or Field Operators in carrying out their required tasks during major process upset or emergency situations to enhance timely recovery and stability of process conditions.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Sciences with particular emphasis on possession of the A1 (Assessor) certification as the minimum and any other Training certification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 8 - 10 years’ experience in LNG operations with at least 5 years’ experience at a Supervisory level
- Acquisition of 12-15 Assessment and Progression Skill Blocks.
