We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below: Job Title: Mobile Clinic Nurse Location: Damboa, Borno Starting Date: ASAP Main Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Mobile Clinic Nurse will be responsible for the following main activities in order to ensure the quality of care in the mobile clinics:

  • Realization of paramedics acts including vaccination
  • Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly epidemiological data
Task Descriptions
  • Install the furniture and the material before the start of each mobile clinic
  • Realization of the patients triage and taking vital signs
  • Keep always the nurse tools clean and organized
  • Take weight, temperature and BP for all the patients who have been registered
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity
  • Realization of paramedics acts including vaccination
  • Follow the basic medical rules of hygiene when performing paramedics acts
  • Do injections according to necessity and/or prescription
  • Ensure the cleaning and sterilisation of dressing material on a daily basis
  • Check the immunization status of the children and proceed to proper immunization of targeted children according to EPI calendar
  • Evaluate the right quantity of vaccines and consumables  per day
  • Ensure that cool chain are maintained[MR1]
  • Collect data in link with vaccination activities and submit to the nurse or [MR2] team leader
  • Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly epidemiological data
  • Perform the daily data collection regarding paramedics acts
  • Participate to the weekly computerization  and analysis of the paramedics data
  • Prepare a weekly activities report to submit to Team Leader
  • Realize malaria rapid diagnostic tests according to necessity and/or prescription
  • Urine dipstick tests to the patients according to necessity and/or prescription
  • Haemoglobin test according to prescription
  • Make dressings according to MdM protocols
  • Participate in a pro-active way to MdM internal meetings (medical, security…)
  • Participate to all the  trainings organized by MDM
Others:
  • Give suggestions to improve the functioning of MDM mobile clinics
  • Is responsible for the proper use and maintenance of assigned equipment
  • Inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security problem in the field
  • Because of the emergency relief nature of MDM’s work, working hours may be irregular and employees are expected to be flexible in their approach to working hours under emergency conditions.
  • Participate to the loading and unloading of the vehicles and to  the setting up of the mobile clinics
  • Participate to the weekly physical inventory of mobile clinic pharmacy
Job Title: Driver Location: Damboa, Borno Supervisor: Logistic Officer Main Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the logistic officer, and in technical link with the Logistic coordinator, the Driver is in charge of driving MdM vehicles according to the MdM procedures, and assisting the logistics team for maintenance of the office/guesthouse/warehouse and loading/unloading goods and material into the cars.
Task Descriptions
  • Driving vehicles and passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipment’s :
  • Following MDM driving Regulation
  • Adapting his/her behavior and driving to assure passengers' security, MDM equipment and the rest of road/street users (drivers, pedestrians, etc.).
  • Always drive according to the Nigerian circulation code and respecting speed limits
  • Always wearing safety belt while driving and ensuring all passengers do the same
  • Maintenance of the vehicle
  • Checking on a regular basis the vehicle's motor, oil level, breaks liquid, air pressure of wheels, wind shield liquid, etc.
  • Alerting direct supervisor in case of technical problem or need for maintenance
  • Organizing or if possible carrying out of any necessary maintenance after validation of direct supervisor
  • Ensuring the vehicle is clean on the inside and outside
  • Ensuring having a valid driving license and always have it ready for any eventual inspection
  • Ensuring that all necessary documents are valid and renewed before the expiration date (yearly road safety check, registration of main drivers with the Rental Company, etc.)
  • Ensuring all necessary equipment and material is present in the vehicle and in good condition (tools, spare wheel, airlift, belts, ropes, etc.)
  • Refilling the fuel tank each time the tank is at half of its capacity
  • Remaining stand-by in the office in between movements
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Realize small purchases following the orders of the logistics officer
  • Fill a logbook with kilometers and fuel consumption he does
  • Report any security related issues to the supervisor
  • Supporting operational organization of field trips
  • Maintaining full confidentiality for all work-related information
  • Supporting the team for manual tasks (load/unload the vehicle)
  • Participate in internal work meetings and inform MdM team on log issues
Others:
  • Be flexible in performing his/her duties
  • Inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security problem
  • Perform other additional duties on request of the logistics officer
  • Respect MdM rules and regulations including driver’s rules
