Travel Agent at Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO Aviance)

Establish in 1979, the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO Aviance) provides aviation cargo, aircraft handling, passenger facilitation, crew transportation, refuelling and aviation training services from its base at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. NAHCO Aviance serves over35 airlines throughout seven airports across Nigeria, handling approximately 70% of domestic and foreign airlines operating into the country. In 2005, NAHCO Aviance was privatised and listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2006. Air France and Lufthansa both have acquired stakes in the company.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Travel Agent

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Responsibilities 

• Plan and sell transportation, accommodations, insurance and other travel services.
• Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them of appropriate destinations, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs and accommodations.
• Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travelers.
• Attend travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends.
• Enter data into our software and maintain client files.
• Network with tour operators.
• Maintain statistical and financial records.
• Meet profit and sales targets.
• Book transportation, make hotel reservations and collect payment / fees.
• Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
• Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 10 years work experience.
