Job Title: Senior Accountant - Nigeria

Job Description

  • This position will oversee the ADM Nigerian branch from the accounting perspectives including month- end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliation and statutory reporting, preparing documents to audit check and controls assets, cost and expenses.

Your Responsibilities

  • Full Bookkeeping process (booking of all invoices, any needed or request accruals/provisions, management of assets and depreciations/amortizations, all statements of financial position)
  • Monthly - end closing and reporting
  • Asset control, Costing and expense optimization, Expense control by cost center, Monthly analysis with PY and BUD
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations monthly with accounts movements backgrounds
  • Process Optimization of current working
  • Price Transfer Documentation
  • Year End Audit and Statutory reporting
  • Group Policies understanding and control
  • Preparation of Reports, Schedules and Statements as may be required by the Finance Controller.

Your Profile

  • A Degree in Accounting / Economics / or related field
  • 5 - 9 years of post-graduate professional experience in accountancy
  • Fluent in the English language (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in reporting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong teamwork.
  • Experience in preparing balance sheet, month- end closing activities, statutory reporting as well as hands-on experience in booking of invoices and asset management
  • Experience in work in international company
  • Understanding of compliance importance
  • Professional Accounting Qualification such as ACA, ACCA, and CIMA will be a plus
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot, vlookup)
  • Experience in work with ERP (SAP nice to have)
