Job Title: Media Coordinator Location: Lagos Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Description
  • CACOL is looking for a creative news writer to join our team.
  • He/she will be responsible for creating trending and current news content for our online & offline platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Create, write, and publish trending news content for the centre daily.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Mass Communication or related disciplines like English.
  • Strong Passion for writing
  • Significant knowledge of current and trending news topics
  • Knowledge of SEO, WordPress, Social Media, and Google Analytics
  • At least 1-year experience in news content writing is desirable
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google docs
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision

Job Description
  • As the Head, Finance is responsible for financial planning and management to drive business performance and the attainment of corporate goals.
  • The jobholder oversees accounting, finance, fundraising and treasury management; and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, effectiveness of the accounting system and internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and other applicable standards.
  • The jobholder leads the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy, and provides periodic and ad-hoc reports on business performance to facilitate business planning and strategic decision making.
  • Develop finance strategies; lead budgeting and forecasting; support strategic and business planning
  • Develop financial business cases for proposed investments/expenditures
  • Keep abreast of changes in the industry, financial regulations and legislation; ascertain implications for the business and advice management accordingly
  • Manage the budget; monitor budget implementation, highlight deviations and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Manage organisational cash flow and optimise financial resources
  • Identify and deploy cost saving initiatives
  • Resolve the funding needs of the organisation
  • Assist with resource prioritization and allocation
  • Establish and maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting accounting systems and procedures, ensure they are up-to-date and in compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements; review and ensure accuracy of accounting records; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Requirements

Job Description
  • Monitor legal risk in documentation and giving guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk.
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for natural and juristic persons.
  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence.
  • Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.
  • Explain the law and give legal advice.
  • Offer legal representation at arbitration or mediation hearings.
  • Draft, review and manage wills, trusts, estates, contracts and deeds.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance related services.
  • Facilitate innovative solutions to client problems.
  • Offer legal representation to clients in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters.
  • Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Prepare pleadings, notices and make appearances in court.
