  • Install, maintain and repair indoor indoor air quality systems, such as air conditioners.
  • Performing warranty services and emergency repairs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Remodeling, typically repair and replace faulty equipment
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
  • Assisting with customers' queries.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.

  • Mechanical and Technical Skills, Excellent Trouble-Shooting Ability
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

  • Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience as a HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
  • Minimum of HND in any related feild, technical school.

  • Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
  • Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
  • Assembles fittings and valves for installation
  • Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
  • Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary
  • Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters
  • Collaborates electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing
  • Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
  • Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair
  • Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building
  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
  • Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken
  • Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts

  • Read blueprints or technical diagrams
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Remodeling, typically repair and replace faulty equipment
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment install and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting, and control  systems in homes, businesses, and factories to minimize equipment failure perform periodic scheduled maintenance.
