Having mastered the EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) field, PCA has grown from strength to strength over three decades. PCA started breaking ground with huge capital investments in the Power and Infrastructure sector, which then led to the successful commissioning of turnkey projects in Power Transmission & Distribution, Generation, Rural Electrification, Solar mini-grids, and Operations and Maintenance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Benue
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for substation projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and budget forecasting for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and compliance.
  • understand the technical drawings to prepare RFQ and BOQ.

Procurement & Contract Administration:

  • Assist in procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate contractor bids, negotiate pricing, and prepare contract agreements.
  • Monitor contract variations, change orders, and claims to ensure financial control.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all project costs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and construction techniques relevant to substations.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all project transactions, contracts, and cost reports.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Provide periodic financial updates to management and stakeholders.

Project Cost Control & Financial Management:

  • Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary limits.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting and prepare financial statements.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify financial and contractual risks.

Valuation & Payment Management:

  • Conduct interim valuations and process payment certificates for contractors and suppliers.
  • Verify completed work on-site and ensure accurate quantity measurements.
  • Handle claims, disputes, and final account settlements.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
