We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Context
- Working Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator (DTM) Maiduguri, and under the direct supervision of the Information Management Officer (DTM), the successful candidate will be providing DTM data management support, through reporting, research and Analysis, editing, publication and dissemination of relevant quantitative and qualitative products via DTM website.
- S / he will coordinate, in close collaboration with the field office assistant on the field, the data collection process and analysis in the duty station s/he has been assigned to:
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Research, analyse, and report on migration and displacement data in the Lake Chad basin. Carry out analyses of the datasets collected to support the programme implementation of IOM and the humanitarian and development partners.
- Provide training and support to relevant partners on data collection and analysis based on the DTM’ methodology and tools.
- Support the data collection and analysis to monitor and evaluate the DTM operations, identifying areas of improvement / gaps and on data and information relevant to IOM DTM operations to enhanced efficiency.
- Keep abreast of all stakeholders and interagency assessments, reports and relevant material related to Internally Displaced Persons.
- Manage and maintain DTM electronic filing system, website uploads, mailing list, KOBO / ODK and SharePoint / drive.
- Prepare dashboards and narrative for FMP reports in coordination with RO on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Provide GIS assistance and mapping services for DTM one pagers
- Represent the DTM program in data related meetings, events organized at the local level and other data initiatives.
- Build the data and analysis capacity of the IOM staff involved in DTM activities especially data entry.
- Work together with the Field Operations focal points, data collectors and entry teams, with Information Management aspects in order to explore new applications, new technologies and processes management options for overcome the current challenges.
- Contribute to the design and management of databases and information systems including geodatabases and geographical information system of the DTM programme).
- Conduct data verification, triangulation, and validation through multiple sources, both primary and secondary (including media monitoring, local authorities, network of key informants).
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- University degree / Diploma in Humanitarian, Political or Social Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma in the above fields with five years of relevant working experience
- Experience in statistical tools, reporting, liaising with government authorities advantageous; preferably within the international humanitarian field.
- Ability to compile and holistically analyse diverse datasets, GIS and database development is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, efficiency, and flexibility.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and working knowledge the local language.
