The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian for the position below at the Institute’s headquarters in Ibadan. Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer I Ref:IITA-HR-NRS2017-0014 Locations: Ibadan Recruitment Type: National (3-year renewable contract) Slot: 2 Responsibilities 

  • Assist in designing/reviewing IITA’s M& E systems and reporting template;
  • Assist in maintaining all M&E report and data management systems across IITA’s programmes and projects;
  • Support IITA’s regional staff on M&E implementation and systems;
  • Assist in conducting M&E workshops for staff members, partners, and beneficiaries;
  • Develop performance matrices, data matrices, and data tools for data management;
  • Identify and design performance questions, key indicators and targets for each project;
  • Agree with stakeholders on how to record, report, and analyse progress against targets; and design formats for reporting on progress;
  • Undertake and facilitate the M&E plan implementation, regularly revising and updating performance questions, indicators, methods, formats and analytical processes;
  • Assist in conducting and monitoring site visits;
  • Participate in evaluations (baseline, mid-term, end of project), internal and external impact assessment studies;
  • Provide mentoring and coaching in performance assessment to M&E focal persons through on-site and on-line meetings;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
  • Develop M&E plans for programmes, projects, units, and sections/subsections within IITA;
  • Review objective hierarchy and logical framework matrices (activities, processes, inputs, outputs, outcomes and impacts) of projects under the hub;
  • Determine information needs of project managers, partners, and cooperating institutions;
Qualifications
  • HND/B.Sc in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Social Studies, Development Studies or related field.
  • With at least Three (3) years’ experience performing same role.
Competencies Ideal candidate must have:
  • Microsoft office skills and strong quantitative background.

Job Title: Store Keeper II Ref:IITA-HR-NRS2017-0015 Location: Ibadan Recruitment Type: National (3-year renewable contract) Responsibilities Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
  • Assist in receiving stores liaison with shipping and logistics on documentation, verification, clearance and invoicing;
  • Assist in updating PO Tracker Notes on receipts of items (complete, incomplete or damaged);
  • Assist in numerical checks of Airway Bills and Bill of Lading;
  • Assist in delivering non-stock items to customers on daily basis;
  • Assist in filling daily transactions and making photocopies;
  • Assist receiving store keeper when needs be;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist in offloading containers and unpack crated items for both sea and air freight;
  • Assist in arranging unpacked materials on shelves and racks in the stores;
Qualifications
  • O'Level school leaving certificate or CIPS I with at least three (3) years' experience performing same role.

Slot: 2 Responsibilities Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
  • Assist in stock counting and physical verification of stock items;
  • Assist in opening and recording bin cards for all inventory items;
  • Assist in updating of daily transaction of bin cards;
  • Assist in delivering of stock items to FMS on daily basis;
  • Assist in cleaning and tidying shelves and racks;
  • Assist in stacking heavy items in woods/iron stores;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist in filling all paper MRIs on daily basis;
  • Assist in crosschecking item quantity delivered from receiving sections and mark items with identification codes;
Qualifications
  • O’Level, School Leaving Certificate or CIPS I with at least one (1) years’ experience performing same role.
