  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
  • Coordination and communication of various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering team that affect the discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
  • Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
  • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to Company procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
  • Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
  • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations
  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
  • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor
Job Requirements
  • 10+ years of closely related professional experience
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering within discipline
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria

  • Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock out Tag out: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Verify and issue electrical work permit to contractors for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance
  • Supervise contractors to work safely. Immediately intervene on unsafe acts
  • Participate for Job Safety Analysis (JSA) review with contractors
  • Start work as scheduled. Resolve issue and immediately notify First Line Supervisor (FLS) if issues remain unresolved
  • Closely monitor contractors’ quality to follow Maintenance Procedure & Practice (MPP) and prevent rework
  • Provide daily progress update to FLS and planner
  • Get FLS’s approval prior to proceeding any changes
  • Verify and accept job done by contractors

  • Assist leader (Head of Mechanical Rotating, static, marine & lifting Equipment) for the updating of the Maintenance Plans, may involve procedures drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding or data capture in computerized systems.
  • Supports the FPSO operational teams as requested in areas of own speciality, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programmes, and providing associated logistic support. As instructed, develops maintenance methods tools in own area of competence, analyses the works and practices, and suggests ways of optimization.
  • Performs technical studies in his field of competence as instructed in view of improving performance or upgrading
  • the facilities.
  • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
  • Performs equipment performance analysis; develop and put in place enhanced condition monitoring programmes.
  • Follows-up the day to day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
  • Pays regular visits to the offshore site and participates to the jobs as required; may be involved in operational works including major shutdowns. May be incorporated into maintenance working shifts as the case may be, as required during major operations.
  • Provides assistance and logistic support as required for the provision of resources: vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, consumables and other materials. Coordinates the transfer offshore of theses resources.
  • Coordinates as required the repairs required to be subcontracted outside.
  • Attends materials repairs or inspection in the Onne base or in Contractors facilities.
  • Coordinates, according to the instructions received from hierarchy, his activities with the MTMC (Maintenance and Technical Methods Contractor) method and planning engineers based in Lagos.
  • Follows-up into Unisup, the computerised maintenance management system, the registration of the works, of the
  • consumed materials, of the services, and so on.
  • Follows-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage.
  • Reviews the requests for materials, defines the technical specifications for purchase.
  • Supervises receipt of materials on a technical point of view. Visit the Onne warehouse when required.
  • Controls the condition of materials in warehouses, take action for improvement as needed.
  • Maintains and updates the technical documentation.
  • Performs periodic and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Co-ordinate these actions with concerned staff, from both offshore and onshore sites.
Job Requirements
  • Engineer University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Degree as Chief Engineer or equivalent.
  • Knowledge in Marine, Hydraulic, Lifting equipment and, various mechanical Static equipment.

    Job Title: FPSO Coating Corrosion Painting Superintendent Location: Nigeria Job Type: Contracts Category: Others Job Nature: Not specified Job Description
  • This position is to supervise and control Contractor, sub Contractor and Vendor in order to ascertain that the corrosion protections (cathodic protection) and coating (Paint, PFP, Thermal insulation, GRE resin) are performed as per drawings, specifications, procedures, cost and schedule.
  • Corrosion/Coating superintendent will be in charge of a COMPANY supervisors/Inspectors team which will control Corrosion/Coating in term of safety, quality, progress, including inspection, and reporting.
  • Corrosion/Coating Superintendent will have to report any non conform situation to the COMPANY Engineer.
  • Information needed for the good progress and quality of the work shall be found and reported to Engineer.
  • Superintendent will be in charge to collect supervisors/inspector’s information and to chase CONTRACTOR to solve blocking point and report it to COMPANY Corrosion and Coating Engineer.
  • Weekly meeting including progress, quality, Safety will have to be performed and reported.
