Job Title: Go-to-Market Strategist
Location: Lagos
Overview
- As a Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategist at NCDF, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive the successful launch and adoption of our portfolio companies' products and services.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead the development of comprehensive go-to-market strategies tailored to the Nigerian market.
- This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for NCDF's portfolio companies, including new product launches, market expansions, and repositioning efforts. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify target markets and opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including investment analysts, marketing, sales, product development, and operations, to align go-to-market plans with overall business objectives. Ensure coordination and seamless execution of GTM strategies across all stakeholders.
- Product Positioning and Messaging: Define clear product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences in the Nigerian market. Develop compelling content, sales collateral, and marketing materials to support go-to-market initiatives.
- Market Analysis and Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory changes, and customer preferences in Nigeria. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine go-to-market strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure the timely execution of go-to-market initiatives.
- Sales Enablement: Develop sales enablement tools, training materials, and resources to empower sales teams with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell products or services. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure sales readiness and effectiveness.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the execution of go-to-market plans, including campaign development, channel strategies, pricing, distribution, and promotional activities. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure the success of GTM initiatives and optimize strategies as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in go-to-market strategy, product marketing, or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in the Nigerian market or the broader African market is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business outcomes.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position based in Lagos, Nigeria, onsite.
- Occasional travel within Nigeria may be required for customer meetings, industry events, or team collaborations.
