Job Title: Sales Coordinator
Location: Lagos
Reporting to: General Manager
Job Objective
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully
managing the sales team and designing and implementing a strategic
business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong
presence.
Job Responsibilities
- Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Actively seeking out new sales leads and converting them to customers.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with customers and understanding their needs
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets
- Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach target
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
- Conducting market research to identify and evaluate customer needs
- Developing quotes and proposals
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
- Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, selling possibilities and competition ventures
- Recruiting and training sales staff
- Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
- Allocating areas to sales representatives
- Collaborate with team to achieve better results
- Cordination and management of regional sales representatives, sales/marketing, Business development staff and subdistributors.
Skills / Competence Requirements
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Power point and excel
- Experience in Optical distribution/ experience working in an Eye clinic as a dispenser
- Basic computer and reporting skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Very good spoken and written communication
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Amiable personality, smart, intelligent with eyes for details
Professional Requirements:
- First Degree in Social Science or related discipline. Degree in Accounting will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 8 years working experience as a Sales supervisor or managerial role
- Proven experience as a sales person in an optical company will be added advantage
