As a result of growth in our organization, we seek applications for the following positions in the Community Based Distribution component of Expanded Social Marketing Project in Nigeria (ESMPIN):
Job Title: State Project Officers
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project implementation under the supervision of the project manager.
- Coordinate project activities at state level
- Conduct advocacy activities to ensure project acceptance in states and project LGAs
- Provide technical assistance to CBOs and CBD Agents
- Participate in monthly outreach and project review meetings
- Conduct training and mentoring activities for CBOs
- Monitoring of project activities in LGAs
- Coordinate distribution of commodities to CBOs for use at the grass root
- Collect and collate relevant data from the communities
- Handle logistic arrangement for the trainings, meetings and advocacy at the state level.
- Facilitate state level meetings with CBOs, CBD Agents and stakeholders
- Design and implement a system of monitoring of project activities that ensures the achievement of project outputs and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to all donor requirements in programme, activities and reports
Qualification: - A Degree in Social Sciences with at least 5 years post National Youth Service experience, which must include at least 2 years in RH programming, social marketing and sub granting.
- Also, preferred are knowledge of health programs with the Nigeria public sector, health system, NGOs/CBOs and collaborative relationship and liaison with community leaders.
- An MPH is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with local tradition and language is highly desirable.
Job Title: Project Manager
Specific Responsibilities:- Responsible for project implementation under the supervision of the Chief of Party
- Perform advocacy responsibilities to stakeholders in the project locations
- Responsible for the project implementation and supervision of programs in four States of Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi and Jigawa
- Coordinate and provide technical leadership and support to the project team.
- Provide technical assistance in Social Marketing capacity building to field programs.
- Represent the organization to donors and government officials on RH/FP, MNCH and Malaria issues
- Creative and innovative in bridging gaps of Child Spacing in Northern Nigeria
- Provide leadership in the coordination of and supervise all
- planned and approved training activities.
- Effectively manage review activities of the project and implement strategies for learning and sharing amongst stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all donor requirements in programme, activities and reports
- Design and implement a system of monitoring of project activities that ensures the achievement of project outputs and outcomes
- Ensures project team is abreast of current programmatic developments in related fields
Qualification:- MBBS, MPH or a Masters Degree in Social Sciences with at least 10 years post National Youth Service experience, which must include at least 4 years in Social Marketing programming. Also
- preferred are knowledge of health programs with the Nigerian public sector, health system, NGOs/CBOs and collaborative relationship and liaison with community leaders. Familiarity
- with local tradition and language is highly desirable. A very sound knowledge of Community Based Distribution of Child Spacing commodities
