JUBOB Keystone Engineering Nigeria Limited is an indigenous registered company, having its headquarters office located in Benin City, Edo State. It provides EPIC and Project Management Services for the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Industries.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: AutoCAD Operator

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The CAD operator's responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical drawings and blueprints, implementing feedback from engineers, and visiting sites, keeping up to date with CAD software, and working long hours to meet deadlines.
  • Should be able to explain technical aspects clearly to both the team and the client.
  • CAD operators should be able to understand complex calculations and have sound knowledge of safety regulations.
  • CAD operators are disciplined, open to collaboration, and possess manual drawing skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preparation and checking of all types of Engineering design drawings such as Block Flow Diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs, Layout Plans, etc.
  • Interpreting project briefs and Producing Engineering drawings as per Client standards using AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
  • Must be able to work to an agreed scope, budget and schedule.
  • Review of vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items.
  • Must be able to adequately and timely execute relevant Engineering design drawings for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design.
  • Ensure drawings are compliant with regulations, industry, international and Client Codes and standards.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Communicating potential design issues to engineers.
  • To provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and construction and remaining professional when feedback is delivered and implementing any changes to drafts as soon as possible.
  • To assist in the coordination of all activities related to preparation of engineering design drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Be able to perform site surveys and data gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs at project location.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Engineering and / or equivalent in Drafting or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in CAD software or other software.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Knowledge of Marine Industry and Oil and Gas Industry -Engineering and Construction.
  • A completed apprenticeship would be advantageous.
