Chief Mechanical Engineer at Labana Rice Mills Limited

Labana Rice Mills Limited is an integrated rice mill that was established in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State in 2012. It commenced production in November 2014 with two independent plants that have the capacity to produce 400 MT/Day. The third additional plant that is currently under construction has the capacity to produce 300 MT/Day of parboiled rice. These added up to 700 MT/Day thereby making the company largest rice mill in Africa. Labana Rice Mills Limited is one of the pioneer and leading rice mill in the country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Mechanical Engineer

Location: Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi
Employment Type: Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities

• The Chief Mechanical Engineer leads and support maintenance team, and works closely with stakeholders to implement engineering initiative to enhance the reliability of mechanical systems.
• The Chief engineer's responsibilities will include assigning tasks to maintenance team, setting long and short term goals, ensuring that projects stay within time and budgetary restraints, and compiling monthly management reports.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Candidate should be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering with 7 - 10 years post-graduation experience, 3 of which must be on a senior or team leadership position.
• Possession of a higher degree and membership of a relevant professional body, as well a computer literacy is a prerequisite for applying into any of these positions.
