We are recruiting to fill the position below:   Job Title: Project Manager Location: Bauchi Job Type: Full Time Job Field: NGO/Non-Profit
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for meeting agreement obligations, producing deliverables and targets, and achieving project results as specified by Palladium;
  • S/he oversees project planning, provides technical direction and support and ensures implementation, with a focus on results, and financial accountability for all project activities;
  • Communicates with IHP
  • Provide the overall leadership, strategic guidance, vision, and management to staff for successful implementation
  • Responsible for meeting all IHP agreement obligations, including quality report writing;
  • Overall guidance and administrative management of the program;
  • Supervises project staff;
Qualifications
  • Good in written, spoken English and fluent in Hausa
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work in hard to reach communities.
  • Experience managing capacity building projects or other similar projects
  • Experience managing a USAID funded project/sub-project is highly desirable
  • HND, ND or NCE in a Social Development related field
  • Working Experience: 3 Years
  • Knowledge in child protection
  • Excellent communication skills (including active listening)
   
Job Title: Community Facilitator Location: Bauchi Job Field: NGO/Non-Profit Job Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the use of good facilitation skills that make the trainees feel comfortable and enhance their participation and personal development.
  • Ensure all trainings and modules are effectively stepped down to trainees
  • Training facilitators MUST be available for all ToT sessions
  • Ensure that trainers receive regular feedback and advice on their trainees’ progress
  • Support the design of training curriculum
  • Measure outcome from trainings
  • Enrich courses with visual aids to engage trainees
  • Conduct and evaluate pre and post-training tests
  • Ensure trainees are adequately equipped with training aids
  • Respect and abide by funders’ code of conduct
Qualifications
  • HND, ND or NCE in a Social Development related field
  • Knowledge in child protection
  • Excellent communication skills (including active listening)
  • Good in written, spoken English and fluent in Hausa
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work in hard to reach communities.
  • MBBS, Senior Midwife or Medical Science Degree with a MPH active and retired will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years of institutional work experience and expertise on child health, immunization, nutrition and malaria and/or other public health related programs
  • Competency in facilitating various child health training packages (e.g. IMCI, malaria case management, nutrition IYCF and routine immunization) will be an added advantage.
  • Advanced experience in competency based skill building training for health workers will be an advantage
  • An IMCI certified trainer (National or State) highly desirable

Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial management of the grant.
  • Maintaining adequate financial records and ensuring financial compliance with USAID regulations and acceptable accounting standards and practice.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Accounting
  • Relevant experience in financial management of granting mechanisms
  • Working Experience: 4 Years
   
Job Title: Technical Director Location: Bauchi Job Type: Full Time Job Field: NGO/Non-Profit
Responsibilities
  • Provides technical direction, guidance and oversight of the program.
  • Develops and coordinates training schedules and ensures availability of qualified trainers.
  • Provides on the job mentoring and supportive supervision of trainers and supervisors.
  • Leads the implementation and ensures quality of the training as per the technical guidelines and training material provided by IHP.
  • Supervises the onsite capacity building of health workers
Qualifications
  • Must have demonstrable competency in facilitating various child health training packages (e.g. IMCI, malaria case management, nutrition –IYCF and routine immunization).
  • Advanced experience in competency-based skill building training for health workers
  • An IMCI certified trainer (National or State) highly desirable
  • MBBS, Senior Midwife or Medical Science Degree with a MPH or other relevant master's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of institutional work experience and expertise on child health, immunization, nutrition and malaria and/or other public health related programs
