A leading cleaning and management company that has distinguished itself in the cleaning service industry     Job Title: Accounts Clerk Job Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Specialization: Accounting/Financial Transactions Preferred Years of Experience: 3-5 years Available Slots: 1 Qualifications: •  A OND./HND degree in Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Finance from a reputable higher institution. •  Fully conversant with Excel, Word, PowerPoint applications. Skills •  The Accounts officer must understand basic accounting principles, such as debits and credits. •  Handling of accounting transactions with as few errors as possible. •  Must have a passion for numbers, accuracy and skills in calculating figures. •  Must display excellent team player skills. •  Must have Competency in information technology and project management. •  Must have basic book keeping skills. •  Must possess effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people both in writing and in speaking without getting misunderstood. •  Knowledge of mid-level accountancy. •  Must have good knowledge of computer applications. •  Must have excellent numeric ability. •  Must have the ability to effectively cope with colleagues and clients and move them towards accomplishing certain tasks and goals. Job Descriptions: •  Maintain accounting records by making copies; filing documents. •  Reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger. •  Maintain accounting databases by entering data into the computer; processing backups. •  Verify financial reports by running performance analysis software program. •  Determine value of depreciable assets by running depreciation software program. •  Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. •  Control credit and ensure debtors pay on time. •  Reconciliation of direct debits and finance accounts. •  Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate. •  Preparation of statutory accounts. •  Collection and lodgment of cheques. •  Working with journals, sales & purchase ledgers and spreadsheets. •  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. •  Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
