Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team.
  • The ideal candidate will manage the financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget monitoring, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and reports (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) in a timely manner.
  • Payroll Processing: Oversee and process the payroll system, ensuring correct deductions, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all records and processes are transparent and accurate.
  • Cost Management: Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights to management and assist with decision-making based on financial data analysis.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets to ensure financial goals are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate entries.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA) are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
