Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Manage all accounting transactions, including audit of financial transactions and documents.
  • Prepare and manage financial reports such as balance sheets, profit/loss statements, payroll, and other financial statements.
  • Present weekly/monthly reports and other relevant periodic reports on the financial status (such as the financial health and liquidity) of the company.
  • Identify trends and recommend actions based on strategic analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with best practice of financial policies and regulations across all finance activities.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database updates and backups when necessary.
  • Provide strategic insights to support decision-making processes that impact bottom line.
  • Provide financial services such as business valuation, budget management, financial template design, review and improvement of accounting framework.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are properly and timely recorded.
  • Update and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable accordingly.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Industry knowledge is a plus
  • A member of a professional body e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CFA
  • Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Highly confidential with good integrity
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a team and multitask
  • 3+ years of hands-on Finance Management/Accounting experience
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven knowledge in Financial Reporting, Internal Auditing, Financial Analysis & Management, Financial Software and Microsoft Suite
  • Client relationship and engagement skills.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
