Royal Emerald Hotel is world class standard hospitality company that provide effective and efficient services to its clients. Currently, we are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:     Job Title: Purchasing Officer/Manager Location: Lagos Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
  • Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Control purchasing department budgets.
Requirements
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships
  • Numeracy skills in order to analyse facts and figures
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Good with negotiation and networking.
  • The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
  • Strong project management skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Previous Management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or any relevant field
