Job Title: Umbilicals Package Lead
Location: Nigeria
Job Description
- Develop and implement the Contract Execution Plan and elements of the Basis of Design relating to the Umbilicals scope.
- Ensure that system wide integration and integrity are managed. Manage interfaces with other EPC contracts, and the BSWA Process Team including implementation of required technical assurance on own scope.
- Delivery of the Umbilical system, and field installation of all associated infrastructure in accordance with policies and standards, ready for introduction of hydrocarbons by Q2 2022, within budget and no LTI recorded.
- Establish and implement HSSE and quality management systems within the Umbilicals / Subsea distribution team.
- Develop and implement project management systems including cost, schedule/progress, quality and HSSE monitoring and reporting.
- Participate actively as a member of the Subsea & Pipelines (SS&PL) leadership team.
- Support the SS&PL Manager in managing the commercial scope, and with engagement and relationship management of external stakeholders particularly NNPC/NAPIMS, DPR, NCDMB, OML 118 CoVs and Unit Partners.
- Lead the Umbilicals Project Team, and manage the activities of the team through design, construction installation and support commissioning of the BSWA Umbilicals scope.
- Develop the tender documents for the BSWA Umbilicals scope, including bidders’ selection.
- Develop the contract evaluation criteria (including cost and schedule estimates), lead and manage the contract evaluation team during the evaluation process.
Requirements
- Experience in managing major EPC contracts.
- Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skillful at leading through influence.
- Values and is open to listening to stakeholder perspectives, including experience managing multiple stakeholders comprising OML 118 co-venturers, Chevron, and host government agencies particularly NNPC/NAPIMS, NCDMB, DPR.
- Maintain composure under pressure while providing clear and decisive leadership.
- Visibly demonstrate personal and company HSE commitment.
- Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities
- Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 15 years experience in upstream EP projects with emphasis on Design, manufacture, testing and installation of Subsea Umbilicals and distribution systems, preferably in the deepwater environment. At least 10 years experience directly related to delivery of umbilical and subsea distribution packages.
- Understanding of deepwater developments and played a leadership role in at least one major deepwater development project involving subsea infrastructure, and major deepwater field installation.
- Ability to work with and influence multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
- Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, following through with sustained execution, meeting project milestones.
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to influence and develop relationships across disciplines and culture, be comfortable coaching and motivating others, and delivering through others.
- Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.
