Job Title: Commercial Director
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Manages and oversee all that concerns commercials for the company.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement a sales strategy for the sale of seminars, webinars, conference calls, retreats, master classes, boot camps and conferences to the appropriate target markets.
- Develop strategies for the sale of work books to industry.
- Build partnerships with strategic institutions such as Universities and other learning bodies for the extension of our courses and our work books.
- Advise, manage and maintain a data base of existing and potential customers in a customer relationship management system (CRM) in a format and system that is seamless and transferrable (such as salesforce.com) Manage a full service social media revenue model which will be driven from our web site, mobile app, social media handles and other web based tools and applications.
- Design and implement a sales strategy for the selling of professional services to the Speakers’ community and other professionals, businesses and Government agencies.
- Design and implement a system for pushing and capturing the sales of products, services and accessories to all categories of professionals, agencies, departments and businesses.
- Expand the sales reach of the organization into specific industries including but not limited to energy, finance and insurance, Information and Communications, State Governments, African Governments, Caribbean Governments.
- Build a network of sponsors and partners for our programs, events and platforms ranging from strategic partnerships such as industry leaders to non-governmental sponsors such as foreign Government funded development funds, and / or foreign charities.
- Advise on the best technology platform to use to manage an online sales strategy for the marketing and sales of our products and services.
Person Specification
- Must be able to close deals and conclude transactions with partners either identified by leadership or initiated themselves.
- Must be very comfortable with technology and must have used CRM technology platforms such as salesforce.com or its equivalent.
- Must have sold high level solutions to large conglomerates.
- Must have written or can write winning proposals to international funding sources for project funding such as to NGOs or foreign Government funded programs or World Bank programs.
- Must have used technology to manage large sales volumes/
- Must have the ability to make presentations to a sophisticated audience of investors, customers and sponsors.
- Well spoken English and well dressed and very presentable and must be able to make public presentations and speeches including on radio, tv, online and at conferences.
- International exposure and experience required such as with work experience or education or both.
- Must be able to travel internationally with valid international passport and at least one valid visa to a foreign country.
Minimum Education
- A University Degree in Related Field. Relevant Certification/Mis an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in sales, marketing and commercial management at the executive or general management level.
