Job Brief

  • We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Safety Supervisor to help our client who operates in the Maritime / Oil and Gas industry minimize their risk of job-related accidents.
  • You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities.
  • You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness.
  • As Safety Supervisor, you should be well-versed in all OSH guidelines in the Maritime / Oil and Gas industry. Your work will be focused on prevention, so you need to be diligent and analytical.
  • You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers.

Role Objective:

  • The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks.
  • Develop and enforce OSH policies (e.g., accident reporting process).
  • Direct accident investigation procedures.
  • Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.
  • Organize and conduct OSH training plans.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.
  • Liaise with and report to official regulatory bodies on OSH matters.

Requirements
Required Education / Qualification:

  • BSc / BA in, Safety Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Valid certification in Occupational health and safety (Maritime / Oil and Gas sector) is a must.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5years of relevant experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently in similar roles within the Maritime and Oil and Gas sector.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as safety Supervisor.

Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Profile

  • We are looking for a responsible and experienced Safety Officer to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines in the Maritime / Oil and Gas industry.
  • You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations.
  • The ideal candidate will be a responsible individual who swears by OSH regulations.
  • Your work will be largely focused on prevention, so you need to be conscientious and farsighted. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies.

Role Objective

  • The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to the company policy, regulatory standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
  • Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g., not using protective equipment).
  • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.

Requirements

  • You will analyze everyday financial activities, pass the entries, prepare the reports, and subsequently provide advice and guidance to management on future financial plans.

Role Objective:

  • The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

Job Description

  • Prepare and provide financial and management accounting reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Analyse budgets and create expense reports.
  • Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.
  • Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses).
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Analyse transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Advise clients on financial issues.
  • Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Ensure timely, accurate consistent recording of all activities of the company in the books of accounts.
  • Analyze revenues, costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the budgets.
  • Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget. Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultant and company secretary for prompt audit, resolution and filing of annual returns.
  • Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.

Requirements
Required Education / Qualification:

  • BA / BSc in Accounting, Economics, Finance Accounting Engineering and or Mathematics, MSc is a plus.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA /ACA is a must.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5years of relevant experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently in similar roles within the Maritime/Oil and Gas sector.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
