Job Title: Forensic Scientist

Overview
A foremost indigenous forensic services company is seeking to engage the services of a Forensic Scientist to work for and deliver consultation on behalf of our organisation with respect to Forensics science.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in any of the following life or applied science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Forensic Science, Pharmacology , medical laboratory science or medicine (Acceptable).
  • An MSc in any forensic specialization (Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Biology, Forensic Pathology, Forensic Psychology, Forensic Archaeology Forensic Odontology or Forensic Science) is an added advantage competence as a forensic analyst in a designated forensic science specialization within one year of the date of hire. With good interpersonal skills, good use of Ms office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Candidates should possess 0 - 5 years work experience.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Possess a sound knowledge of current methodologies and techniques used in forensic science and criminal investigations especially with regards to chemistry and biology including presumptive test.
  • Possess a firm grasp of underlying principles involved in analyses of biological samples, organic and inorganic substances including solutions preparation for use in testing and operating laboratory equipment.
  • Be proficient in developing and/or applying established standard operating procedures to determine the presence of drugs, alcohol, poisons, biological fluids (i.e. saliva, blood, semen) etc.
  • Be proficient in developing and/or applying established standard operating procedures to the analysis of trace evidence such as, hairs, paint, fibres, GSR, glass and explosives/ignitable liquids.
  • Thorough understanding of crime scene management, maintenance of chain of custody and evidence handling, with the ability to prepare laboratory notes and reports and liaise with law enforcement and other authorized personnel of results
  • Ability to explain test protocols and other procedures to non-expert and provide technical advice and/or leadership at crime scenes.
  • Conduct DNA analysis from sample obtained from a variety of evidence type from extraction through to interpretation.
  • Carry out step down training on forensic subject matter to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills and be able to multi-task efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as with small group
  • Candidates should be willing to travel at short notice anywhere within country

Job Title: Digital Forensic Specialist

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Overview

  • We are seeking to engage the services of a Digital Forensic Specialist to work for and deliver consultation on behalf of our organisation with respect to digital crime and cyber security.

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • The digital forensic specialist is required to possess a high level of competence in computer science and information security.
  • Must have a solid understanding of modern digital forensic methodologies, processes, hardware and software.
  • Must have a firm grasp of current requirements for the introduction of digital forensic evidence in Nigerian and International legal proceedings as he/she may be required to conduct digital forensic analysis at crime scenes, training and consult on behalf of the company, and where necessary testify in court.
  • Conduct validation testing of digital forensic tools.
  • Maintain evidential chain-of custody and perform digital data acquisition of a wide variety of digital mediums.
  • Research and document new cybercrime & digital forensic technologies, techniques, and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging platforms that can be used for malicious or hostile actions directed against the company and its clients.
  • Conduct forensic examination of computers, servers, and portable electronic devices and work with stakeholders as they investigate computer related incidents
  • Proficiency in conducting live analysis on systems, and use of multiple platforms is desired.
  • Must be competent in searching for information that may have been deleted, hidden or lost in large datasets.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with a wide variety of computer operating systems and network environments including Windows, OS X, and Linux knowledge of additional platforms a plus.
  • Must have sound understanding of general information systems security, network architectures, database concepts, e-mail systems, Office, common intrusion tools and techniques, and commercial off-the-shelf computer forensic tools.
  • Must possess the ability to write reports of findings for potential use in legal and administrative proceedings and to verbally explain findings to less-experienced non-technical persons.
  • Excellent analytical skills and be able to multi-task efficiently. Prior experience as an expert-witness in digital forensics a plus. Ability to work independently as well as with small group

Qualifications

  • B.Sc (Acceptable)
  • M.Sc (Preferred)

The ideal candidate should:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in any of the following: Digital Forensic, Cyber Security and Computer Forensics
  • Master's Degree in a related field OR 3 years of specialized experience in digital forensics

Job Description/ Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and general accounting
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Operating data terminals calculators and other standard office equipment
  • Providing interoffice support including receiving and processing mail
  • Invoicing and reconciliation for varying departments, projects and programmes
  • Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy
  • Managing organisations accounts payable and receivable
  • Tracking organization expenses
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Provide information by answering questions and requests
  • Reply to email, telephone or face to face enquiries
  • Conduct remuneration Survey
  • Update policies and procedures
  • Administer Goal setting documents to staff and follow up on the submission
  • Handle administrative and secretarial matters
  • Prepare memos

Requirements

  • BSc in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting or HR
