Job Title: Technical Superintendent

Location: Nigeria (Offshore)

Description

  • Are you an experienced professional in the shipping industry with a knack for technical oversight and maintenance management?
  • Atlantic Fenders and Support Services is looking for a dedicated Technical Superintendent to join our dynamic team!

Responsibilities

  • Industry Experience: Utilize your extensive knowledge of the shipping industry to provide technical expertise.
  • Technical Point of Contact: Act as the main technical liaison for all departments, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Asset Inspections: Carry out inspections of new asset acquisitions and provide recommendations.
  • Docking & Maintenance Planning: Plan and execute major and minor maintenance for STS equipment in line with industry standards and company policies.
  • Facility Supervision: Supervise offshore and onshore facilities to ensure technical supplies and maintenance are well-managed.
  • Certification & Coordination: Recommend vessel and STS equipment certifications and coordinate field workers, crew staff, and compliance with SOPs and regulations.
  • Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the maintenance and operational conditions of tugs and equipment, including STS operations, SMS, and Procedures Manuals.
  • Efficiency & Compliance: Advise and collaborate with company departments to ensure efficient and compliant operation of tugs, equipment, and facilities.
  • Purchasing & Inspection: Monitor the purchase and delivery of consumables, conduct regular inspections, and approve maintenance and dry dock campaigns.
  • Documentation & Planning: Maintain comprehensive records of tugs, equipment, certificates, and maintenance programs. Develop dry dock requisitions and ensure statutory reporting.
  • Planned Maintenance System: Implement and manage a planned maintenance system for vessels and equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chief engineer.
  • Proven experience in the shipping industry.
  • Experience in eginees overhauling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Chief engineer COC.
  • Chief engineer credentials and certificates.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in maintenance and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
