We are recruiting for the position of:
Job Title: Senior Audit Manager/Audit Manager
Job Description
- To help develop and maintain the strategic audit plan for the Country.
- To oversee the execution and delivery of the Country audit plan, with a specific responsibility for managing the team in Nigeria to deliver according to plan.
- To provide assurance as needed to senior management and Local Board that the processes and controls by means of which the business is managed are appropriate to the task and functioning effectively.
Qualifications / Skills- Good university degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours
- Minimum of 8 years industry experience
- Familiarity with computers and software packages (notably MS Word, Excel and ACL) is desirable, although training will be provided where necessary
- Engagement in professional certification activities (e.g. ACA, ACCA,CISA, CPA) would be an advantage
- Ability to commit up to 40% business travel
- Track record of consistent and high performance.
- Ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed
- Ability to multitask without loss of quality
- Flexibility to work across different businesses, locations and cultures globally and change priorities at short notice
- Good project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise work to ensure delivery to timescale
- Ability to think objectively and “Think outside the box” when analyzing issues and recommending / developing solutions
- Initiative to learn and keep current of banking developments and an understanding of industry standards and best practice
- Professional auditors or bankers, including those under training from the business, preferably with Information Systems, Wholesale Banking Products and credit skills
- Effective collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts in Group Internal Audit and the business
- Candidates must have effective oral and written communication skills.
Job Roles / Responsibilities- Audit planning – Manage audits across the businesses (WB, CB and Support), including taking part in theme audits across the region
- Contribute to Country Risk Assessment
- Provide inputs for updates of Risk Control Matrix and Audit Planning Memos
- Contribute to training
- Carry out continuous monitoring and testing across the businesses/function
- Provide monthly information to CORC and quarterly to BAC on all audit activities carried out.
- Manage engagement with Regional Product/ Function/Country stake-holders
- Attend Regional level Audit Report Review Committees (for relevant audits)
- Provide inputs for Global Product/ Function permanent audit file
- Review country audit reports prior to submission to RARRC
- Regional themes – Contribute to creating Group level themes.
- Carry out QA on audit work performed by country teams.
