Michael Stevens Consulting - Our client, a premier EPC company, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates for immediate employment in the position below:   Job Title: Site Superintendent - Pipeline Location: Rivers Job Responsibilities

  • Implements pipeline installation works.
  • Supports the Construction manager in the definition of the execution strategy of construction works.
  • Solves co-ordination and interface problems with the Client. Managing the different work activities.
  • Monitors Works Assistants to ensure their correct supervision of work and to provide Foremen with the necessary capabilities in order to carry on the activity, in compliance with established program, progress and costs objectives, as part of a wider objective to optimize manpower.
  • Monitors Works Assistants to ensure the correct implementation of construction activities in compliance with quality standards and requirements.
  • Assists the Construction Manager in the solution of technical and management problems within the assigned area.
  • Co-ordinates all interdisciplinary field works on a site, supervising the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work.
  • Co-coordinating Detail Programs for work carried out directly and works handled by subcontractors, solving contingent problems on site and optimizing the use of materials, work teams and available equipment.
  • Assists the Site Project Control Engineer with the preparation of periodical reports, and supervising the correct implementation of procedures designed to collect work performance control data.
  • Supervises the work measurement in order to prepare the work progress report.
Requirements
  • B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field. COREN Certified (added advantage)
  • Basic proficiency of MS Office word, excel, and power point.
  • Knowledge of dredging activities
  • Installation of Cofferdam / Sheet pile
  • Knowledge of construction codes and standards
  • 10 years Engineering experience in facilities projects for the offshore/onshore oil and gas industry.
  • Experienced in contractor and site management, project execution and contract management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in pipeline, pipeline facilities and terminal construction.
